MouseTrace sneaks plug-ins into Google Analytics, Chartbeat, Clicky and more...

MouseTrace today announced deep integration with some of the worlds’ leading web analytics services.

By installing a simple browser plug-in for Google Chrome (Firefox & Safari plug-in coming soon), users of MouseTrace will get deep integration with their existing web stats including Chartbeat, Google Analytics, Clicky and Statcounter.

Google Analytics Plugin

MouseTrace offers a simple solution which allows any website owner or designer to monitor how their visitors really use their website or blog, no more guessing why people aren’t engaging more, buying or signing up for your newsletters. Drop 1 line of HTML code into your website and then sit back and watch your visitors as they navigate through your website.

By watching how the visitors actually use a website or blog, owners are able to rapidly find faults and identify where improvements can be made to drastically increase sales, better target advertising and improve reader engagement.

The browser plug-in is launching today for the Google Chrome browser with versions for Mozilla Firefox and Apples Safari browser coming very soon.

Once installed users of the MouseTrace service will be able to get much deeper insight into how their website or blog visitors are using their website, directly from within their existing web stats package.

For Clicky (GetClicky.com)

Users of the Clicky service will see an enhanced summary home screen for each of their websites which shows the latest visits to their site. When viewing the Clicky live “Spy” screen all visits will be tagged with a “View visit on MouseTrace” which shows an instant replay of the visit – which shows all mouse movements, clicks and scrolls.

The same “View visit on MouseTrace” action is carried across to the visitor detail screens on Clicky, enabling the website owners to quickly identify why visits did not convert.

For Chartbeat

When using the new browser plug-in alongside the popular Chartbeat service, users will be presented with an extra live panel of information which shows the latest visitors recorded through MouseTrace.

Each recorded visit through the MouseTrace service captures all activity including visits from iPhone users which show how the device was rotated and all pinch-zoom actions.

For Google Analytics

Similar to the integration with Chartbeat, users will be provided with an extra live panel of information on all report pages which list the latest MouseTrace visits. From this panel users can view replays of the latest visits and query for specific types of visitors to provide further detail.

For Statcounter

For the popular Statcounter service, MouseTrace users will be provided with the live panel of visitors on their website summary screens on Statcounter.com and also an additional link from all visitor stats which link through to a full replay of the visit.

The integration with existing web analytic services allows a website owner to instantly watch a replay any visit directly from within the web report pages – allowing them to quickly identify any problems or areas where improvements can be made.

Founder Dan Field explains, “With standard web analytics services such as Clicky or Google Analytics is possible to identify that visitors are not completing a sale or a registration process on your website – but you aren’t able to identify why. “

“By integrating MouseTrace on top of these services a website owner is able to instantly watch a reply of any problem visits – in real-time. So you can watch how the visitor navigated through your website, just as if you were sitting next to them – and quickly identify any problems.”

“The integration with these top analytics services makes it much easier for MouseTrace users to view this information.”
